Grant programme

The main component of the Children & Violence Evaluation Challenge Fund is the GRANT PROGRAMME.

A number of grants will be made to organizations who intend to undertake quality evaluations of violence prevention and child protection interventions in low- and middle-income countries. The selection of the grantees will take places through subsequent rounds of calls for proposals.

Each call will have a specific thematic and geographical focus. Organizations that are interested to participate to the Evaluation Challenge can apply to the programme and compete to receive the grant.

The selection process of grant applicants will be articulated into two phases. First, applicants will submit a concept paper presenting the intervention to evaluate and briefly explaining why and how they intend to do the evaluation.

The most promising proposals will be then invited to submit a full evaluation research proposal for the second phase of selection. Based on the advice of an assessment team of experts, successful grantees will be selected and will receive funding to conduct the proposed evaluations.
