Grant program

The main component of the Children & Violence Evaluation Challenge Fund is the GRANT PROGRAM.

A number of grants are allocated to organizations who intend to undertake quality evaluations of violence prevention and child protection interventions in low- and middle-income countries. The selection of the grantees is done in rounds of calls for proposals.

The selection process of grant applicants is articulated into two phases. First, applicants submit a concept paper presenting the intervention to evaluate and briefly explaining why and how they intend to do the evaluation. The most promising proposals is then invited to submit a full evaluation research proposal for the second phase of selection. Based on the advice of an assessment team of experts, successful grantees are selected and receive funding to conduct the proposed evaluations.
